The sequel to Dishonored has finally been unveiled during Bethesda’s E3 press conference, and joins the ranks of the few triple-A titles with a female protagonist.
Players take on the role of Emily Kaldwin, the daughter of the empress from the first game trying to reclaim her throne, as they explore another mystical city with their magical abilities, carrying out their objectives via stealth or all-out assaults.
The original game’s protagonist Corvo Attano will also be playable, giving gamers the choice of who they want to progress through the game with. Both Corvo and Emily have their own abilities, with the trailer below showcasing some of Miss Kaldwin’s.
Dishonored 2 is being developed by Arkane Studios and is due for PS4, Xbox One and PC next spring.
In the meantime, the studio is also working on Dishonored: Definitive Edition, a remastered version of the original 2012 title for PS4 and Xbox One. The compilation will not only include the full game, but also all of the DLC released for it.
