The PS4 and Xbox One could easily ship ten million units between them by March next year, claims EA COO Peter Moore.
In an earnings call, via Seeking Alpha, Moore said that indications he had received from Microsoft and Sony suggested the next-gen consoles could be in plentiful supply.
He added that the console giants were gearing up their best launches ever in terms of production and globalisation of the hardware.
"When I talked to our friends at both Sony and Microsoft, and I’m trying to get some indications in the numbers that are going to be available for sale by the end of our fiscal year on March 31st and I aggregate them, I think I can squint and see ten million units combined, very easily," he said.
"Both Sony and Microsoft are proposing that this could be their best launches ever as regards their production numbers and their ability to globalise this business quickly."
The PS4 is set to launch next month on November 15th in North America and November 29th across Europe. The Xbox One is set to be released on November 22nd in 13 territories, including the UK, US, Canada, Brazil and Australia.
