EA has lost three heads from major studios Playfish and Bioware.
BioWare Austin VP Gordon Walton has left the US company in favour of an executive producer role at Playdom. In a statement EA emphasised “it is business as usual” across BioWare’s studios.
The studio which Walton has departed has been subjected to intense scrutiny as it looks to complete the Star Wars Old Republic game – an exorbitant and protracted development project.
Walton leaves the studio with that significant project still incomplete.
Meanwhile, a report from InsideSocialGames claims that two Playfish bosses have left the firm.
Playfish COO Sebastien de Halleux and technology lead Sami Lababidi are both thought to have left the firm.
EA said de Halleux, whose company was one of the first to succeed from the social games revolution, will now become a consultant.
"Going forward, he will continue to provide input on the site as we add new content and scale Playfish to millions of new players," EA added.
Kristian Segerstale remains the remaining Playfish co-founder at the company.
