Both Gamebryo and LightSpeed licensed out to Tencent

Emergent in major deal with Chinese net firm

Gamebryo vendor has signed a multi-SKU licensing agreement with Chinese telecommunications giant Tencent.

Tencent, which has nurtured its business via internet and mobile services, confirmed that it will be using both Gamebryo and LightSpeed for game production.

“Tencent is a true global success story, continually innovating with each level of its business and we look forward to a long, integrated partnership to help them realize the next level of videogame entertainment,” said Emergent CEO Scott Johnson.
