Day For Night Games launches crowdfunding appeal for surreal first-person title, due next year

Ex-BioShock devs turn to Kickstarter for The Black Glove

A studio set up by former BioShock developers is calling on Kickstarter backers to help fund its first title, The Black Glove.

Announced earlier this year, the game is being developed by new studio Day For Night Games, which opened in the wake of Take-Two’s decision to lay off the vast majority of Irrational Games’ staff

Using their experience on Irrational’s acclaimed BioShock series, the Day For Night team aims to "push the narrative game genre forward by tying story directly into gameplay, allowing players to alter both events and the world around them", according to the Kickstarter appeal.

The Black Glove is due in late 2015 for PC, Mac and Linux, with "other platforms" (almost certainly Xbox One, PS4 and possibly tablets) to be announced at a later date.

The title revolves around The Equinox, a 1920s theatre that isn’t quite grounded in reality. With the struggles of the three creators for art, film and music making the situation worse, it’s up to players to change the artists’ pasts in order to fix the present.
