Social gaming titan Zynga shows no sign of satiating its thirst for studio acquisitions – this time buying out a studio formed by ex-Ensemble staff.
Texas group Bonfire Studios was established last year by a band of developers made redundant from Halo Wars outfit Ensemble, which owner Microsoft decided to close down.
As part of the acquisition, Bonfire has been renamed Zynga Dallas.
“The studio will be developing original IP for the company – with Bonfire founders David Rippy, Bill Jackson and Scott Winsett leading the charge,” Zynga said in a statement.
