Intuitive Games headed up by LA Noire design lead Alex Carlyle

Ex-Team Bondi devs form new studio

Former developers from LA Noire creator Team Bondi and KMM have formed a new indie studio.

As reported by MCV Pacific, the new Sydney-based company, called Intuitive Game Studios, is headed up by ex-Team Bondi design lead Alex Carlyle.

Joining him at the studio is also Kelly Baigent, who has previously worked at New Zealand developer Tui Studios. Baigent is currently storyboarding the narrative for the new title.

The studio will focus on bringing in contractors rather than full-time staff is it looks to get itself off the ground.

“I really do want to stay in Australia and try and overcome the drive which is leading everyone to Canada or the like," said Carlyle.

"I want to stay here and make games and hopefully be able to sustain a small studio, provide employment and jobs here.”

Last month KMM, which housed former developers at Team Bondi, laid off all of its staff, although the company itself is yet to formally close.

The developer was working on a new detective thriller title set in 1936 enttitled Whore of the Orient.
