Send in your nominations now for both the Development and Marketing Awards

Game Connection Awards opens call for submissions

The call for submissions is now open for the Game Connection Development Awards and Game Connection Marketing Awards.

And for the second time, the organisers will be running the European Games Booster Awards, highlighting the best of European developers. The three awards will be held during this year’s Game Connection Europe, which will be held in Paris from October 28th to 30th.

Studios and indies can submit their projects in development for a chance to take home the title of Best Project here and you can nominate your marketing campaign to receive the accolades it deserves by following this link. The deadline for submission is Monday, August 17th.

This year, the Development Awards introduces new categories: "Best indie game" and the "Game Connection People’s Choice Awards".

Furthermore, nominees will be showcased in the enhanced Development Awards pavilion on the show floor and will now have their own demo pod – an excellent opportunity for increased exposure and visibility in front of more than 2,700 video game professionals and journalists.

The 11 categories for this year’s Game Connection Development Awards are:

  • Best Console / PC Hardcore
  • Best Mobile / Tablets
  • Best Desktop / Downloadable
  • Best Casual Game
  • Best Social Game
  • Best Hardcore
  • Excellence in Art
  • Excellence in Story & StoryTelling
  • Most Promising IP
  • Most Creative & Original Project

All nominated projects will be running for the Game Connection People’s Choice Award

The contest is open to console, mobile, social, casual, and online games at any stage of development with no restriction on genre, platform, or distribution method. All submissions will be assessed by the Judging Committee of international industry experts.

All nominated teams will be given a free pass to attend Game Connection Europe 2015 (including a discount on any exhibitor option), plus a trailer spot in the dedicated Development Awards lounge, bringing valuable exposure to countless high level industry professionals. Our enhanced Development Awards Pavilion will give you more space and more opportunity to showcase your projects.

You can find more information about this competition, including the Rules & Regulations, by checking out the Development Awards page of the Game Connection website.

The deadline for submissions is August 17th, 2015. Click here to submit your project for nomination.

The European Game Booster Awards are run in collaboration with the European Creative MEDIA program and gives special recognition to the best EU studio of each category. Projects submitted for the Development Awards by any studios in the EU will automatically be entered for a chance to win this additional award.

Finally the Marketing Awards will recognise the most creative and inspiring works created by marketing professionals in the game industry.

Three campaigns will be nominated in each of the ten categories and their creators will be invited to attend Game Connection Europe 2015 to show off their work during a two-minute presentation to the audience. Each campaign will be automatically entered to the ‘Best Marketing Team 2015’ bonus category, which honors the marketing team who has distinguished itself by the superior quality of their campaign and who inspires innovation in the industry.

You can find more information on the Marketing Awards page of the Game Connection website. The deadline for submissions is also August 17th. Submit your campaign now.
