The developer and publisher meeting event Game Connection has signed up to be part of this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Game Connection bags Tokyo Game Show deal

Organiser Connection Events will for 2007 be hosting its Game Connection Asia event as part of Japanese trade association CESA’s Tokyo event during its two business days on September 20th and 21st.

The Tokyo Game Show is a key event in the industry calendar for the Asian games trade, and welcomes both developers and publishers and games to its show via a mix of trade and consumer days. This year, the show has two days – one extra than normal – for just business-only visitors.

Having GC Asia take place as part of the show follows on from Connection Events’ successful deal with CMP to host its B2B event as part of this year’s Game Developers Conference.

Pierre Carde, MD of Connection Events, said the event is perfect for developers and service companies to meet face-to-face with the acquisition men and decision makers from all the key Asian games companies.

"We are convinced that such a partnership will help business between companies from all over the world and that it will lead to a successful long-term collaboration," he added of the deal with Tokyo Game Show organiser CESA.
