Game Connection is raising the bar for this year’s European event by adding a new marketing and communications focus, claiming it will be the "greatest ever".
The business matchmaking event will take place in Paris at the Porte de Versailles on November 28-30.
Last year’s event boasted 1,200 attendees, 220 exhibitors and 180 buyers from over 50 countries, with 60 conferences and master classes lead by by professionals from Wooga, Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, Epic Games, Bigpoint, Remedy, Amazon, Google, Gree, Pixar Animation Studios, Ubisoft, EA, Sony Computer Entertainment, and others.
Topics included production, development, distribution and service, and this year’s event will see the addition of marketing and communications experts to the mix.
"Game Connection has always been carved on new market trends," said Game Connection managing director Pierre Mirlit.
"The explosion of casual and social games, and everything related to cloud and online games in general, put many companies in the exciting position of facing new challenges, especially in terms of marketing and distribution.
"We could not ignore this, by staying stick to our usual formula: we needed to go further and offer to our attendees some real chances to find new business partners and figure out innovative solutions to boost their brand awareness, gain more gamers and increase their monetisation."
The event’s call for speakers is still open, and event organizers are seeking professionals from every platform and discipline in the industry to share their knowledge with their colleagues.
