GameHorizon announces two-day June conference

GameHorizon, the business network for UK games companies in the North East of England, has unveiled its plans for a two-day event for game development executives from the UK and around the world, taking place this June.

The GameHorizon Conference will take place on June 18th and 19th at the Baltic Flour Mill in Newcastle, and is billed as "a must for publishers, developers, format holders, middleware, hardware and service providers who want to discover what’s happening at the cutting edge".

Only 250 seats will be available at the event. Speakers already signed up to take part include Martin de Ronde, director of OneBigGame, Chris Lee, commercial director of UK-based FreeStyleGames, Todd Eckert, an award-winning film producer and music journalist now looking to make video games, and Iain Simons, author of ‘Inside Game Design’.

Carri Cunliffe, head of sector development at GameHorizon, commented: "With the launch of the GameHorizon Conference, our aim is to give delegates the sort of unique insights and knowledge that will truly make a difference to the way they think and conduct business in the games industry.

"Our goal is to make the GameHorizon Conference unlike any other in Europe, with exclusive insights from speakers who are at the leading edge of the industry – those few people who are pushing the boundaries and the possibilities of videogame technologies."
