Chris Wynn gets key role on Mass Effect 4 as senior development director

Gears of War producer exits Epic for BioWare

Gears of War producer Chris Wynn has left Epic Games for BioWare.

Revealing the news through Twitter, Wynn said he will take on the role of senior development director for Mass Effect 4.

The latest entry in the Mass Effect series was revealed in September last year, and will be developed by BioWare Montreal, rather than previous development lead Bioware Edmonton.

It is not clear whether the new instalment will be a sequel of sorts to Mass Effect 3, or set before the events of the previously trilogy.

As well as working at Epic, Wynn has previously held roles as lead producer at Microsoft, senior product expert at Hansoft and development director at EA.

He becomes the latest of a number of high profile execs and developers to leave Epic Games during the last year, including Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, Epic president Mike Capps and director of production Rod Fergusson.
