Get a free Lumia 820 Dev Kit Windows Phone at AppCampus camps

Microsoft is offering a unique mobile dev kit to all companies that attend its Mobile App Acceleration Camps later this year.

The camps are designed to help studios prepare their pitch before apply for AppCampus, an accelerator programme set up by Microsoft and Nokia.

There will be four camps but each will only have room for four games studios. They will take place in London on November 28th, Birmingham on December 2nd, Manchester on December 3rd and Edinburgh on December 5th.

Every firm that attends these events will receive a Lumia 820 Dev Kit Windows Phone, a special version of the smartphone that is designed to test apps and is not available in stores.

Any studios accepted into AppCampus will receive €20,000, €50,000 or €70,000 to help develop their project. They will also benefit from training and marketing support.

You can find out more at the programme’s official website.
