Goichi Suda, the head of Tokyo-based indie studio Grasshopper, believes that his popular Wii game No More Heroes has the potential to become a multiplatform series.
Though a Swine Flu scare saw Capcom producer Keiji Inafune retreat from travelling out of Japan to attend the event, Suda arrived in Malmo, Sweden to present a talk entitled "The Birth of No More Heroes."
Speaking to 1Up before the event, Suda answered questions about the possibility of the Wii exclusive arriving on other consoles.
“A lot of the fans were dying to play the game on other consoles, so I think it’d be great if I could do it,” he said, adding that there were no concrete plans to do so.
He believes, however, that No More Heroes has the potential to move to other consoles. “No More Heroes could be a big title,” he said, “like a big IP, so it’d be good to have a chance to release the game on other consoles, and that would maybe maximize the market.”
On Tuesday news had emerged that Grasshopper has cited Square Enix as a new business partner, sparking rumours that the two groups are working on a project together.
