Mobile and social giant GREE has upped the number of languages its SDK and distribution tech GREE Platform support.
Introducing 12 new languages, including French, German, Italian and Korean, the update takes to total number of dialects supported to 14, significantly increasing the currently-in-beta GREE Platform’s international reach.
"GREE Platform offers developers a way to distribute apps across devices using a single binary, and we recognised the need for the user interface to span languages in a similar way," said Ryotaro Shima, CEO of GREE UK and senior vice president at the outfit’s EML Business Department.
"With the multilingualisation, people around the world will be able to access GREE in their native languages for the first time. This is an important step for us in getting closer to our users and making the GREE experience a truly global phenomenon."
The full list of supported languages now features Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese – including simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Korean and Thai. Arabic support is due to be made available from November this year.
GREE Platform offers a toolset, distribution technology and customisable dev platform available in a single SDK, available from GREE here.
