Puzzle & Dragons developer GungHo has signed a deal with US studio 17-Bit to publish and promote its future games.
The Seattle-based outfit has previously worked on turn-based strategy title Skulls of the Shogun, and is currently developing sci-fi shooter Galak-Z: The Dimensional.
"17-Bit’s dedication to re-energising classic genres for next-gen gaming fits perfectly with GungHo’s core values and notably expands the breadth of our game portfolio," said GungHo America CEO Jun Iwasaki.
"We pursued this partnership because we have high expectations for the developer and are eagerly awaiting to collaborate on their next major release."
GungHo has previously purchased a stake in Clash of Clans developer Supercell along with parent company Softbank, but later sold its shares to the telecomms firm.
