Hello Games’ Guildford office was flooded during the Christmas holidays after torrential rain stormed the town.
The nearby riverbank broke, leading to what the studio described as a "biblical amount" of water pouring in through the windows.
Tweeting on Christmas Eve, the Joe Danger and No Man’s Sky developer said "everything in the office has pretty much been lost".
The studio also tweeted that its insurance did not cover the damage as the office was based in a flood risk zone.
A river broke its bank nearby yesterday, and A LOT of water flooded in really quickly. A biblical amount. It was coming in the windows!

Lots of personal stuff lost (my console collection! my super rare neo geo pocket!) – that line between home and office is a little blurry

We're taking stock today, but already I know we'll come back stronger 🙂 – all we'll need is a place to work and a machine to work on 🙂

Following the tweets, a number of Twitter followers and fans expressed their support for the studio, which thanked everyone for helping to keep their spirits up.
Happy New Year and all that. Thanks to *everyone* for being so supportive. Our spirits are undampened… everything else is really wet 🙂
