Hellwig buys out Marcinek in Kalypso MBO

One of the co-founders of publisher Kalypso Media has left the company with immediate effect.

The company has announced that co-owner and co-founder Stefan Marcinek (pictured) has resigned from all management and executive positions after an MBO from fellow co-owner and co-founder Simon Hellwig.

Hellwig is now the global MD of the company and its sole shareholder. The pair established the German firm in 2006.

Kalypso’s catalogue includes the likes of the Tropico series, shooter Sine Mora, Jagged Alliance and Sins of a Solar Empire.
