Both offices will work together in tandem

Improbable.Io opens new office in San Francisco

Improbable.io have expanded, opening an office in San Francisco. They’ve announced that their new team in the states will need to "solve the toughest problems in tech".

Impropable.io’s new office will be launching officially at the start of February, and Improbable are keen to stress this will be a complete office, with engineers, business operations and executive hires all represented, with key roles spread across both sides.

While they’re looking for a more permanent home, Improbable are going to be based at the new WeWork coworking space in San Francisco’s Embarcadero Center, hoping to quickly acquire more staff for quick growth.

"We thought hard before making this decision, and we aren’t taking it lightly." say Improbable in an honest blog post "Companies often fail when they build offices away from HQ – and the best people want to be close to the action. We want our two offices to work together as a single, geographically distant but closely connected headquarters – not as a core office and a satellite."

Herman Narula, Improbable’s CEO, said in a statement to Develop: "Now that we are making strategic partnerships like our partnership with Google Cloud, with SpatialOS entering open alpha for game developers and with a growing number of American partners – many of them currently unannounced – we need to have people on the ground in the US full-time.

I’m going to be spending a lot of time in San Francisco making sure this feels like another part of our HQ, not a peripheral office. We’re still very proud to be a British company, but for a tech-centric, developer-centric company with ambitious growth plans, a San Francisco office is just common sense."
