Interior Night signs publishing partnership with Sega

Interior Night, a newly created London-based studio formed by former Quantic Dream, Sony and Slightly Mad Studios staff, has found a publisher to launch its first game.

Sega Europe is the studio’s new publishing partner and will be collaborating with Interior Night to release a “brand new narrative-driven IP.”

Interior Night was founded in October last year by Caroline Marchal (former designer at Sony and Quantic Dream) with the aim to create “innovative and accessible narrative games” for “people who love shows like Breaking Bad or Fargo but who do not necessarily game.”

Commenting on this new partnership with Sega, she said: “We are very excited to work with SEGA on our first narrative game. Sega have demonstrated a strong desire to take risks, innovate and work collaboratively with studios. With their help and support, we’re confident Interior Night can deliver a great narrative experience to existing gamers and to a broader audience.”

Executive VP of publishing at Sega Europe John Clark added: “Signing this deal with Interior Night is another great step for Sega in terms of working with talented studios whether they’re established or embarking on a new journey whilst exploring our desire to launch new franchises and experiences. We’re really looking forward to working with Interior Night as their combined talents and imaginations evolve into a really strong narrative driven gaming experience.”

Interior Night made three senior hires in December: Ronald De Feijter as technical director for the studio, Steve Kniebihly as cinematic director and Charu Desodt as production director.
