Join Shuhei Yoshida and Jade Raymond at the Develop Awards 2018

The sun is now shining, and that means it’s almost time to head to the south coast for Develop:Brighton and the Develop Awards.

We’re delighted that Shuhei Yoshida, president of PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios and Jade Raymond, SVP and group general manager for EA’s Motive Studios will both be in attendance at this year’s Develop Awards to collect two very prestigious accolades.

This year’s awards have been completely revamped with a streamlined set of just 17 categories. We’ve responded to feedback that you wanted more time to mingle with your colleagues, peers and friends, and less time sat at tables. So this year’s event will achieve just that. Worry not though, the after-party will still run-and-run, making for a full evening’s entertainment.

Make sure to book your tables for this incredible evening while you still can!

DEVELOP LEGEND 2018: Shuhei Yoshida

Shuhei Yoshida is the very definition of a development legend. For more than 25 years he’s been at the very heart of PlayStation. He was instrumental to the establishment of the platform, he’s worked on some of its most important titles, and as president of Sony’s Worldwide Studios he continues to be hugely influential in the creation of incredible games. We’re incredibly honoured and excited to have him receive the Legend Award this year!

VANGUARD AWARD 2018: Jade Raymond

The Vanguard Award is bestowed on someone who has "blazed a trail in games development in recent years that will inspire others to follow them – be that in a commercial, creative or technological sense." Considering Raymond’s incredible career so far and her push for diversity and creativity in the industry, we feel she is perfectly placed to receive such an accolade. Jade Raymond is one of the most visible and exciting faces in games development today!
