Developers and industry professionals invited to submit proposals by end of September

Lyon GDC puts out call for papers

Organisers of the upcoming inaugural Lyon GDC have put out a call for papers, inviting the industry to submit proposals for sessions at the December event.

Announced in July, Lyon GDC is a collaboration between Connection Events, organisers of the Game Connection business to business events and CMP, which runs the Game Developers Conference (plus Austin GDC and GDC China).

The event takes place on December 3rd and 4th and focuses on two themes: next-gen games and multiplatform development.

An advisory board that includes Sarah Chudley, business developer of Bizarre Creations, Julian Eggebrecht, CEO of Factor 5, Serge Hascoet chief creative officer, Ubisoft, Julien Merceron, worldwide CTO of Eidos and Avni Yerli, MD of Crytek.

"As the first GDC edition ever to be held in France, the Lyon GDC is the place where all European and international developers want to be this year. The European game industry is blessed with incredibly talented people and it is crucial to provide them with opportunities to share their knowledge and ideas," said Pierre Carde, executive director of Lyon GDC.

If you’re interested in taking part, head to the official site to find out more.
