In this multi-part series of tutorials, Epic’s Ian Shadden and Alexander Paschall discuss how to create clever AI in your game with Unreal Engine 4.
Part one shows you how to use all of the relevant systems and features (Behavior Trees, EQS, Navigation Meshes, AnimBlueprints, AnimMontages, and more) to design, create, and optimise AI for use in a game environment, with all of the requirements and restrictions that go along with that.
Part two meanwhile extends on the hunger functionality implemented previously by creating a generic system to add new ‘needs’ with associated behavior.
For more information on the game engine visit the Unreal Engine 4 website.
Enjoy!
