MACINTYRE HEADS UP STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT AT GEM
The distributor and retail services provider welcomes Iain MacIntyre as its strategic development manager.

Group strategic development director Alex Croft said: Iain brings with him a wealth of retail, licensing and merchandise experience and will be initially tasked with developing and supporting the groups digital business Ztorm, while helping to grow and develop various new opportunities in relation to digital and physical products and services.”

MacIntyre joins Gem from Game Retail, where he worked in a variety of roles including digital category manager, business development manager and senior category manager for software and accessories.

Ferguson joins Moshi Monsters firm
Sam Ferguson has joined Mind Candy as its senior consumer products manager. He will front the UK and international roll out for consumer products, as well as manage Mind Candy’s international licensing agencies.

Target hires digital account manager
The firm has appointed Trey Douglas as its digital account manager. Douglas will join the ROI team to continue and enhance CPA (Cost Per Action) driven results.

Target Media account director Mary Bond said: Using our analytics software, we have been able to produce a results-driven media campaign for Guild Wars 2 that has targeted key European media who have shared our excitement for this highly anticipated title.

Expanding the team was therefore a natural next step and, as an avid MMO gamer, Trey is a perfect fit.” Douglas previously worked with brands Dell and Alienware.

New web manager at SimplyGames
The company has added Carl Brooker as its web manager. Brooker will head all aspects of SimplyGames.com’s technical developments, ensuring that the retailer’s systems are ready for the next stage of growth.

SimplyGames MD Neil Muspratt said: SimplyGames.com has taken Carl on to lead a number of exciting initiatives that we have in the pipeline and to develop our systems and processes so that they are capable of handling the fantastic growth we’ve experienced in the past 12 months or so.
