MCV’s 12 Games of Christmas: Grand Theft Auto V

Last year’s Grand Theft Auto V was the fastest-selling video game of all time in the UK and worldwide.

It’s been such a hit that GTA V has overtaken Call of Duty: Black Ops to become the best-selling video game of all time in the UK.

One of the highest-rated video games of all time with a Metacritic average of 97 across all platforms, the title comes with a free online game called Grand Theft Auto Online, which continues to generate money for Rockstar via microtransactions.

This year marked the arrival of the series on PS4 and Xbox One and it includes vastly improved visuals – far above what most other developers have managed in bringing their previous generation games to the new consoles – and a first person mode, which allows players to explore the world of Los Santos from a different perspective.
