New sessions to discuss mobile monetisation and how social can make games better

Mind Candy and Amazon round off F2P Summit lineup

Mindy Candy’s mobile product manager Erica May and Amazon’s head of content acquisition for mobile Daniel Winner have joined the speaker lineup for next week’s F2P Summit.

May will discuss the issue of developing games with social in mind from the start, and why leveraging social features can make a difference to the retention, distribution and monetisation of any game.

"Games are better when they have a social element,” said May.

“People inherently want to connect and share with one another, which is why it’s so important that developers create experiences that players not only love, but that they can share safely with their friends and family. I have always been fascinated with how social can make games into a rich experience and I’m looking forward to sharing what I’ve learned with delegates at the F2P Summit."

Winner meanwhile will talk about mobile monetisation, offering insights on Amazon’s own findings and observations in the sector, and how developers can make better decisions about their game designs and maximise their opportunities in monetisation.

Other speakers set to feature at the event include Crytek general manager of games Nick Button-Brown, who will discuss how far-reaching the global free-to-play market is, and Ionage creator Tim Wicksteed on five mistakes and lessons from an indie developer.

The F2P Summit will take place on October 10th at RichMix in London.
