Luxology has released version 301 of modo, its subdivision surface modelling application.
Described as a milestone release, version 301 brings animation and true sculpting capabilities to the application alongside improvements in the modelling, rendering and painting systems. Modo can now itself create animation sequences or import deformation data from other applications to reduce pipeline complexity.
“This release of modo redefines the creative 3D experience,” said Brad Peebler, president and co-founder of Luxology. “Virtually any shape can now be created, textured and animated in a single environment; modo 301 invites experimentation and rewards the artist with new levels of efficiency.”
Modo 301 is available as a boxed product or digital download from Luxology’s website, with a single licence covering both PC and Mac versions.
