Real-time character animation middleware specialist MysticGD has released an updated version of its EMotion FX platform.
Version 3.9 of the real-time character animation and model export system boasts a number of efficiency improvements and a range new features, including support for the Autodesk’s Max 2011 and Maya 2011.
"This new version of the EMotion FX SDK is one of a series of technical and commercial announcements that we’ll be making over the next couple of months," revealed John van der Burg, MysticGD’s development director. “EMotion FX’s Animator user community can look forward to a new Artist tool in the short term"
New features include the ability to create and edit motion events, which can be saved as meta data files, meaning that after re-exporting from Max or Maya, and loading inside EMotion Studio, the platform will automatically re-apply al modifications, and add in the motion events.
Compiler support has also been improved, and now Visual Studio 2010 is catered for.
