New deputy editor and news editor for PCGamesN

PC-focused website PCGamesN has made a number of additions to its editorial team.

Phil Iwaniuk (pictured, right) comes on board as deputy editor having freelanced for PCGamesN since September. Before that he worked at Future’s Official PlayStation Magazine. Iwaniuk starts straight away.

Meanwhile, Ben Barrett (pictured, far right) has been promoted to news editor. Barrett was freelance for most of his career with bylines at the likes of Rock Paper Shotgun and Vice.

He joined PCGamesN in August as staff writer. His promotion to news editor is effective as of January 4th.

In July, Official PlayStation Magazine veteran Joel Gregory was hired as PCGamesN’s editor.

"Ben’s proved himself a valuable team member since coming on board as a writer, and his knowledge, enthusiasm and event reporting make him a perfect fit as we look to expand and enhance our news coverage going into the new year,” Gregory told MCV.

Plus the office needs more beards. As deputy editor, Phil’s bringing plenty of industry experience and PC expertise to the site, and he’ll be an asset as PCGamesN continues to grow. Crucially, his appointment also means I have someone to delegate most of my work to.”
