One of the very first developers who joined Nintendo at the genesis of its game enterprise will be speaking at this year’s GDC event in San Francisco.
Nintendo’s Yoshio Sakamoto, who joined Nintendo nearly thirty years ago, will be giving a rare public discussion on some of the pioneering projects he was at the centre of.
A handful of those projects – Metroid, Tomodachi Collection, WarioWare – give but an outline of the immense influence he’s had on Nintendo, Japan, and the entire game sector itself.
Only at GDC can you hear him discuss his history of landmark projects in depth, as well as explore how his games have managed to allure both the core and casual.
GDC early bird rates – where developers can save 35 per cent as well as pick up a Google Nexus One smartphone – end in a matter of hours.
