Chinese outsource now offers improved services, says CEO

Outsourcing firm Virtuos acquires BSP audio studio

Shanghai,-based Virtuos, has acquired Besides Sound Production sound studio.

BSP specialises in video games audio production exclusively and has worked on dozens of PC and console games for international and Chinese game publishers including 2K Games, 9You, Disney Interactive, Epic China, Netease, Tencent and Ubisoft

Founder Yang Jie and his team of composers and audio programmers will now join Virtuos to form Virtuos Sound Studio.

He said: “I have known Virtuos’ CEO Gilles Langourieux and his management team for over 10 years ; by joining forces with Virtuos, I believe my team and I will find new resources to pursue the vision of Besides Sound Production further.”

“By combining Virtuos’ infrastructure with BSP’s expertise, we look forward to contribute to high-quality audio in many new titles for Chinese and International game developers alike” added Gilles Langourieux, CEO, virtuos.
