Digini gets backing from California Technology Ventures

PC and 360 tool Blade3D gets investment

Washington-state based Digini’s Blade3D tool has received an investment boost from California Technology Ventures.

The tool will be released at the end of the month and is the first development environment that promises to aid deployment on both Vista and XP. A 360 version is due to follow.

“We are excited to announce the strategic investment from CTVm” commented Tony Garcia, CEO of Digini.

“Their record of thoughtful investments coupled with a strong network of worldwide partners make CTV a perfect fit for Digini. We have seen tremendous traction for Blade3D since unveiling the final beta at Gamefest, and are anxious to unleash it to our growing base of users.”

“We are thrilled by what Digini and its team brings to the world of games across multiple platforms. We believe this will change how games are developed and create a true market place for people to learn, teach, cooperate, socialize and express themselves without having to be programmers, added Alex Suh, MD for California Technology Ventures. “More importantly, this is not just a platform company, but a company that will open the doors to the users imagination and create other businesses for years to come.
