Israel-based mobile games firm Plarium has announced a significant expansion with the opening of a new office in London.
Plarium says the ongoing success of its titles – which have over 180m users – plus a string of new hires has prompted the company to invest in more space.
Olliver Heins, previously general manager at NaturalMotion and head of games at Goodgame Studios, will oversee the new office, drawing on his experience building free-to-play games at Goodgame.
“I’m thrilled to join the Plarium team to create the next generation of triple-A RPG games for mobile platforms,” he said.
Plarium CEO and co-founder Avi Shalel added: “When Plarium was founded with just a few members in a small shared office in Israel, we knew we started something that would have a major impact on gamers around the globe.
“Opening this new office is necessary to ensure we are able to bring the same level of attention, quality and community involvement that our fans expect from us as we grow more rapidly in the mobile game space.”
