New 'developer only' event to open in August

Press banned from Penny Arcade Dev event

A new game developer conference is set to open this year in Seattle, Washington.

PAX Dev, which runs from August 24th to 25th, is targeting some 750 game professional attendees. The event will prohibit media groups from attending.

No schedules, nor speakers have been announced yet.

“We’re shooting for a small (750-ish), intimate setting where digital and pen/paper game developers alike can focus on their craft,” a statement read.

“No business. No press. Just sharing, learning and debate.”

PAX Dev will be a sister event to the popular Penny Arcade Events.
