Studio behind online shooter Minimum seeking technology programmer

Prey 2 dev Human Head Studios currently hiring

Human Head Studios is in the process of hiring a technology programmer to join its team.

The vacancy is currently listed at the Prey 2 developer’s website, and calls for applicants with a degree in Computer Science, good debugging skills and expertise in C/C++.

Project director Chris Rhinehart told Develop this will be the first of several positions the studio looks to fill in 2015.

“We are looking to hire across a variety of disciplines this year. Watch our website, or feel free to send your resumé to jobs@humanhead.com,” he said. “We’ll make sure it gets routed to the right person.”

Rhinehart went on to add that, unlike many studios, Human Head does not take the hire-and-fire approach of expanding only when a new project has begun, only to downsize immediately afterwards.

Business development director Tim Gerritsen offered the following advice: “To get hired at Human Head Studios, you have to show that you are capable, eager and willing to stretch your skills into more than just one area.

“Additionally, most people in our studio are expected to wear multiple hats. If you display a capability in something, we will give you the assign work in that area, and if you prove your skills there, that ability to expand your capabilities will increase as well.”

Earlier this week, we interviewed Human Head Studios about the cancellation of Prey 2 and how the studio recovered from this.
