Indie dev expands to new studio and takes debut title to Steam Greenlight

Prototype Fund pledges £25k to White Paper Games

Manchester-based indie developer White Paper Games has received a £25k grant from the Abertay Prototype Fund.

As a result, the developer has expanded into a new studio and has stepped up work on its debut title, sci-fi adventure game Ether One, for PC and Mac.

Developers at the studio had previously worked on their titles from home.

“We are thrilled to have obtained backing from the Prototype Fund which has already allowed us to focus our core efforts on creating a narratively challenging and immersive adventure game for the PC,” said White Paper Games creative director Benjamin Hill.

“The funding has also given us the push to move into a new studio space that is designed specifically for creative industries. Being in a single location really allows us as developers to work in harmony to deliver the best game that we possibly can.”

The studio’s first title Ether One is currently making its way through Steam Greenlight, and can be found here.
