QA and localisation service provider Babel plans to hire 150 new employees for its Montreal and Delhi offices during the next three months, it has announced.
The company said the recruiting spree is a result of several new "major" contracts with Canadian and US publishers, as well of the growth of its mobile testing service TestMyApps.
By the summer, the firm expects to employ more than 550 staff.
"With the new consoles in the marketplace we are seeing a significant increase in activity from our clients," said Babel CEO Richard Leinfellner.
"With more bigger and better titles in production than ever, this is an exciting time for the games business. As we have done for the last 13 years Babel is ready to ensure they reach the gamer with the highest level of quality."
Babel COO Bruce Stamm added: “We are also delighted that we have been chosen by so many new indie developers, as it demonstrates that the time and effort we allocate with each customer building custom test programs is indeed valued. We know that our customers have a choice in who tests their app, so we need to ensure that we provide the best service for their investment.”
