First game from new Leamington studio is sandbox voxel game with procedurally generated worlds and quests

Radiant Worlds unveils SkySaga: Infinite Isles

Radiant Worlds, the studio led by Blitz Games founders Andrew and Philip Oliver, has lifted the lid on its first title and brand new IP.

Entitled SkySaga: Infinite Isles, the game is an online sandbox title in which players can construct their own homes and bases out of material their mine and harvest throughout the world – akin to Minecraft.

However, a key difference is the introduction of procedurally generated quest worlds, in which consumers will be able to raid dungeons, hunt for treasure and battle monsters. Each world is unique, meaning players will never go on the same quest twice.

There will also be PvP battle arenas where users can use the gear they have discovered or crafted during their own adventures, or they can invite friends to explore the random worlds with them.

“I’ve been making games for over 30 years and have seen just about everything going, but I’ve never been as excited about a game as I am about SkySaga," said Radiant Worlds’ CEO and co-founder Philip Oliver.

"The team at Radiant Worlds has worked incredible magic in bringing art, design, code, audio and technical brilliance together in a game that delivers the most captivating experience imaginable. And remember, with the game just hitting closed alpha, we’re at the start of an exciting journey.”

Radiant Worlds is working in partnership with Korean online gaming giant Smilegate to bring this game to market. It is due on PC in 2015, with a closed Alpha test due to start in the UK very soon.

“I am thrilled to see the progress of our great new global game, SkySaga," said Smilegate CEO and founder Herald Kwon. "I am proud to present the first view of this amazing evolving online sandbox world to everyone. Radiant Worlds is a great partner for us and together we are striving to invest all of our considerable assets for the successful announcement of SkySaga.

"I believe players will experience unparalleled stories, beautiful art and amazing design in SkySaga and I look forward to hearing the feedback from the community."
