Realtime Worlds studio founder David Jones has stated the studio is currently not shopping around for a console publisher.
ABP was finally released last month after 5 years of development to mixed critical reception. Some reviews took issue with the game’s combat, vehicle handling and matchmaking system.
Now Jones has suggested caution in regards to rushing the title onto consoles.
“I don’t think it’s something we’d say we’d shop around,” he said in an interview with Eurogamer.
“We’re going to stay heavily focused on building upon what we’ve got. We’ll have conversations with people,” he added.
“If there’s interest there, then of course we’d love to bring it to console.”
Jones added that, in the mean time, his focus will be on updating and progressing the PC version.
There have been some expressed concerns of outstanding issues with MMOs on services like Xbox Live, which are not a worry for developers who are keen to overcome any challenges.
“It’s not putting us off. But if there’s a publishing partner out there who says we’d love to do a game with dedicated servers and have a hundred players and actually have some life in the online world,” he said.
