Facebook takes top spot, while Apple clings on

Riot Games in top 25 tech companies to work for

League of Legends maker Riots Games has come fourth in a survey of the top technology companies to work for.

The Santa Monica studio is reported to value its employees and offer them the opportunity to grow and learn.

The list was compiled by online news site Business Insider and Glassdoor.com. Reviewers accounted for culture, lifestyle and what employees can learn while working there. All the reviews and ratings were taken into account over the last 12 months.

Riot is said to have a fully-stocked kitchen, flexible work hours and bright workspaces. Employees surveyed had a 100 per cent approval of CEO Brandon Beck.

One Riot staff member said: "Everyone here is immensely passionate about what they do, and if you aren’t learning something every day, you must be in the wrong office. The company takes ridiculously good care of us, and tries every step of the way to make sure we’re engaged culturally, intellectually and socially with the industry and each other. It’s by far the best place I’ve ever worked.”

Facebook topped the list and is said to have “great spirit and energy” at its workplace.

Elsewhere, Google came fifth – heavy praise for its nutritional food offerings, while Apple’s corporate structure found it lagging behind in 19th place.
