Ruffian’s Billy Thomson writes for Develop

Ruffian Games creative director Billy Thomson is the latest industry figure to contribute a monthly column to Develop.

His first column, which is online now, takes a look at the process of designing workable control schemes for games. Explore the likes of timing, familiarity, consistency and mapping, Thomson’s article makes essential reading for all those involved in the design of control systems.

Thomson has over 13 years of experience in the video game industry, having worked on the design of the first two Grand Theft Auto games and as lead designer on Realtime World’s Crackdown.
