Audio and performance capture firm contributed to games in 13 categories

Side celebrates BAFTA nominations success

The bulk of the glory from major awards such as the BAFTAs goes to the studio behind each game, but it’s important to remember the services firms that help make those titles the best they can be.

As such, Side is celebrating the fact that it has worked on games in 13 out of the 16 categories for this year’s BAFTA games awards, thanks largely to its work on hit titles such as The Witcher III, Star Wars Battlefront, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture.

The company also reports that half of the nominations in both the Audio Achievement and Performer categories involved Side’s voice production department, with Side’s performance director Kate Saxon overseeing half the nominees in the latter.

The BAFTA awards will be held this Thursday (April 7th), when the winners will be revealed.

Meanwhile, our very own Develop Awards – which has multiple categories dedicated to the work of service firms like Side – return this July. You can find out how to nominate here.
