Audio services firm now has two facilities in the region

Side opens new Shanghai recording studio

Side has opened a new studio in Shanghai in response to growing demands for its services.

The audio firm already has an office in Shanghai and now adds a new recording studio to its portfolio. Side has been providing voice production services to Chinese games since 2014, having worked on projects such as Call of Duty Online and Final Fantasy XIV.

Pole To Win acquired Side back in 2015 and the new studio will also help the parent firm offer its QA and localisation services to companies in the region.

Side’s head of localisation Olivier Deslandes will continue to oversee voice production for Chinese titles, and will work closely with Pole To Win Shanghai’s global project manager Nina Wang.

"We’re hugely excited to announce the opening of SIDE Shanghai and the growth of our voice production service in this important market. As part of the Pole To Win group, we look forward to sharing the benefits of a truly global organisation with our localisation clients," said Side MD Andy Emery.
