Japanese firm behind Yebis tool showcasing new technology in San Francisco next week

Silicon Studio to debut Mizuchi rendering engine at GDC 2015

Middleware firm and games developer Silicon Studio will be unveiling its new rendering engine, named Mizuchi, during next week’s Game Developers Conference.

The new tool will be showcased via a real-time demo called Museum for both PlayStation 4 and PC. The rendering engine builds on the company’s experience with post-processing tool Yebis 3, and well as Silicon Studio’s open source game engine Paradox.

Both Paradox and Yebis 3 will also be demonstrated at GDC.

Mizuchi has already been demonstrated to developers behind closed doors, but Silicon Studio will be demonstrating its capabilities to all studios for the first time in San Francisco.

"We are very proud to present our line of highly advanced middleware at GDC 2015," said Silicon Studio president and CEO Takehiko Terada. "Our engineers have been working hard to implement the latest technology and have also listened to our customers’ feedback to make create improvements."

You can read more about Mizuchi and Silicon Studio’s middleware in the March issue of Develop.

Thirty-minute presentations of Mizuchi, Yebis 3 and Paradox will be shown at Silicon Studio’s GDC Expo booth at 11am, 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday, March 4th and Thursday, March 5th, as well as 11am and 1.30pm on Friday, March 6th.
