Former head of digital at Barnstorm Games and Ex-ARM dev join Football Manager studio

Sports Interactive continues expansion

Sports Interactive has strengthened its development team by hiring a new programmer and its first PR director.

Revealing the new recruits on Twitter, studio director Miles Jacobson said that the latest hires showed there were “exciting times” ahead for the developer.

Ciaran Brennan has been announced as the studio’s new PR director, and has left his role as head of digital at London-based publisher Barnstorm Games. He was also previously director at Eye Cubed and Bastion.

Pablo Marquez meanwhile joins as platform programmer, having previously worked as senior software engineer at ARM and R&D engineer at Asobo Studio.

The news of the Football Manager developer’s latest hires comes after Sega revealed that it was arranging for a number of job cuts across its European and US businesses.

As well as redundancies, the publisher is looking to axe multiple games from its line-up.

It is believed however that Sega’s UK studios, The Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive, are unaffected by the sweeping layoffs, as both developers have been working on expanding their teams in recent months.
