Mobile social games specialist Storm8 has brought two industry veterans to its expanding executive team.
Tim LeTourneau joins as chief creative officer, leaving the same position at Facebook and mobile gaming giant Zynga. LeTourneau has decades of industry experience, having spent close to 20 years working at Electronic Arts, primarily at The Sims studio Maxis.
He’s joined by fellow ex-Zynga exec Steve Parkis, who becomes Storm8’s president of games and network. Parkis’ career began at The Walt Disney Company, working on games and online worlds for various Disney and Pixar franchises, including Club Penguin.
The pair will be based at Storm8’s Redwood City HQ and report to CEO and co-founder Perry Tam.
"Since our founding nearly six year ago, our goal has been to build the largest mobile games network by delivering high-quality mobile gaming experiences to players around the world," said Tam.
"The expansion of our executive team underscores our commitment to this mission and further accelerating Storm8’s trajectory. Tim and Steve’s combined creative and operational leadership bring us the tandem skill set required to take Storm8 to our next stage of growth."
