Lego Star Wars dev discussing work on latest game for LucasArts

Traveller’s Tales talks up Wii lightsaber

Our sister magazine MCV reports that Traveller’s Tales has dubbed its implementation of the Wii controller into the upcomig Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga "brilliantly cool".

The release of the multi-platform game later this year will pip publisher LucasArts’ own Star Wars game, The Force Unleashed, to providing a game that uses Nintendo’s motion sensing controller as a lightsaber. The new title is out later this year and is a compilation of the first Lego Star Wars titles with added extras and release across more formats.

TT Games’ Richard Earl told MCV: "The Wii controller offers all sorts of new, fun and accessible ways for people to play with Lego characters – and swinging away with your lightsaber is a brilliantly cool part of the Lego Jedi experience."

Traveller’s Tales previous instalments in the series were huge commercial successes.

Added Earl: "Of course we hope The Complete Saga can hit the Christmas number one spot, but there are many other strong titles on the horizon. We’ll have to wait and see."
