Deal with Halo: Spartan Assault developer could be an indication that Nexon is looking to snap up quality titles

Vanguard inks mobile publishing deal with Nexon M

Vanguard Games has partnered with the mobile arm of free-to-play publisher Nexon for its upcoming mobile game.

The yet-to-be announced title, which will be publisher by Nexon M, is Vanguard’s next original project following the critically celebrated console and PC releases Greed Corp and Gatling Gears.

Vanguard has been concentrating on mobile game development including Halo: Spartan Assault together with Microsoft’s 343 Industries on mobile Windows platforms.

“We are very excited to be working with Nexon, the pioneer of free-to-play games,” said Vanguard Games CEO Arthur Houtman. “This partnership will give us the ability to leverage Nexon’s experience and success in the free-to-play business model.”

Vanguard’s deal with Nexon represents is the first indication that it is striving for quality titles following poor growth in its first quarter results.

Aron Koh, executive director of Nexon M, added: “Vanguard Games is very passionate about developing high-quality mobile titles. We are very pleased to be working with the Vanguard team and are looking forward to bringing great content to our players.”
