Rockstar has at last released the first official trailer for 1940s crime thriller LA Noire.
Comprised entirely from “in-game footage”, the trailer is most notable for its quite remarkable motion camera system that lends an incredible realism to the characters.
The striking facial animation is brought about by a motion-capture technology called motion scan, developed at Sydney-based Depth Analysis.
It’s said that in-game players will be able to make judgements about a character’s truthfulness simply by examining the expression on their faces.
In September the Australian Game Developer’s Association speculated that Team Bondi’s title has enjoyed one of the largest development budgets ever seen.
