Devs, journalists, academics and other members of the industry invited to assess games’ visuals, audio, narrative and more

Want to be an IGF judge? Applications are now open

The hosts of the Independent Games Festival have issued a call for judges for this year’s awards.

Pretty much anyone working in the world of games, from devs to journalists and academics, can apply to help decide the winners of the IGF’s various awards – including recognition of Excellence in Visual Art, Audio, Design and Narrative, as well as the Seumas McNally Grand Prize – as long as they themselves are not nominated (obviously).

Those who apply will need to have time to take a look at approximately 15 games between the start of November and the beginning of December.

Applications will be open until October 8th.

Those who would instead prefer to submit their game for consideration during the awards can also do so until October 24th.

Last year’s big IGF winner was Sam Barlow’s Her Story, which walked away with the Grand Prize, plus the award for Excellence in Narrative.
